Buying a house is a big decision, so you need someone in your corner to explain the process and to look out for your interests along the way. That's why I'm here. My #1 goal is to help you get the loan that you want and to do it pain-free.


I am a big believer in communication. I start by talking with you about your short-term and long-term goals to help customize the best loan for your situation.


During the loan process, I will update you each week (or more) and give you a link to access your loan tracker so you can check the progress online any time you want. If you ever have questions, I am just a call or text away!

Mortgage Companies are not the same


Until I got into this industry, I had no idea how different loan companies can be. While the general "market" helps set the interest rates, that is just the beginning. Companies can and do offer different rates and have different terms and requirements. So while you might not qualify for a loan with Company A you do with Company B. In addition, the loan rate can vary between companies, even on the same type of loan because of agreements the big money investors have with the loan companies and the loan company's policies. It is a little overwhelming, to be honest.


As a NEXA Mortgage LLC loan officer, I have connections to over 200 lenders and thousands  of loan programs (literally, like 9,000). This allows me to help find you the best loan for your situation. Not everyone needs a 30-year fixed loan. Not everyone has a 780 credit score. I can help get you a great loan that is as personalized as you are.

Application

Complete your mortgage application with guided assistance. You can do this independently and online, or we can get together in person or online/on the phone/in a Zoom meeting and do it together.

Processing

We verify your information and prepare your loan package. Documents are collected, emails are sent, tears are shed (just kidding). This is often the longest part of the process.

Approval

After all of the documents are received and confirmed by underwriting (fancy word for people who collect and confirm documents), they give us the news that you are ready to close (called CTC--clear to close--in the industry).

Closing

Sign your documents and receive your keys/loan/land/etc! You've made it!

FAQ

  • What are the rates?

    This is the #1 question people ask, and it's a good question. The bad news is that it depends on numerous factors, including the house, your credit, your down payment, the loan program..... We have a ticker with current rates on the Loan Tools page, but this is just to give you an idea. The good news is that together, we can find you a great rate for your house and situation.

  • Can I get a loan with nothing down?

    Certainly! There are various ways to make this happen. I can show you different options available including down payment assistance programs.

  • Can I get a loan if I have bad credit?

    No. Just kidding :) Did you know there are some loan programs with no credit score minimum? Many others have very low requirements. Give me a call/text/email and let's talk about your situation.

  • What kinds of loans are out there?

    We can access around 9,000 loan products including VA, FHA, USDA, conventional, Jumbo, ARMs, etc.  Go check out the section on Loan Programs to get a better and more thorough idea of the different kinds.

  • Are there any loans for first time home buyers?

    Absolutely! This is the sweet spot for getting a loan. We have TONS of options. Call/text/email me and let's get this started!

  • How long does it take to get a loan?

    The record is probaly around 8 days, but normally it takes about a month. This varies a lot based on things like getting an appraisal, survey, etc. Different loans require different documents, and some of the people we rely on to respond are not always as prompt as we might like. I guarantee that I will work hard to get it done as fast as I can so you get on with your life. No one likes to wait.

  • What kinds of documents do you need to get a loan?

    Lenders want to know that you can be trusted, so they want to verify your history by looking at your credit score. 

    Then they want to know you can pay the loan, so we're talking W-2s, bank statements, pay stubbs, verification of employment, and possibly tax statements. It sounds like a lot, but it isn't as bad as it seems.

  • Why should I use you as my loan officer?

    Not all mortgage companies are the same. At NEXA, we have access to more lenders than any other company by almost 2x. This means options and opportunities for you thaty other companies might not have access to. This could bne the difference between getting the house and another year of renting. 


    If you choose me, you get access to these loan products, and you get a loan officer who is always on your side. I work to help you understand exactly what is going on and will guide you through the whole process.
